On the outskirts of Vrindavan in the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh rises the Prem Mandir, the Temple of Divine Love — a magnificent shrine of white Italian marble completed in 2012 through the vision of the spiritual teacher Jagadguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Dedicated to Radha-Krishna and to Sita-Ram, its walls are carved in exquisite detail with scenes from the lives and leelas of the Lord.
By day the temple gleams a brilliant white; by night it glows in shifting colours of light, drawing throngs of visitors and devotees. Its gardens depict Krishna's childhood pastimes — lifting the Govardhan hill, dancing the raas with the gopis. A modern landmark of devotion in the ancient land of Braj, Prem Mandir celebrates the path of pure love for the divine.
